What is living sober like
Living sober is a difficult road to walk down. A person who is not able to remain sober, unfortunately, often finds it difficult to look forward and pursue a successful and fulfilling life. Staying sober can be difficult in all aspects of life, but it is particularly challenging in being an alcoholic. If you are not able to live sober then you need to figure out what your own feelings are when you wake up in the morning. This is often times one of the hardest things to overcome and it is important to find out what your own views are. Are you having fun at your job every day? Do you have a sense of achievement when you accomplish something? People who do not enjoy themselves every day will have difficulties in staying sober. If you are happy at your job, have a sense of achievement at accomplishing goals and being productive, then you are going to be successful at living sober. If you are not having fun and enjoying yourself then you probably should not be doing what you are doing. If you are not having fun then you need to figure out why and find out how to keep yourself busy in order to keep yourself busy and stay sober. There are so many things that you can do on a daily basis that will keep you busy and moving. Some examples of things that you can do each day include: Get up, Go to work. Go to class. Take a shower. Eat breakfast. I could go on about some of the small things that you can do each day to keep yourself busy. Sometimes simple things that seem trivial are all that is necessary to keep yourself busy and to avoid the depression that many people suffer from once they stop drinking. When you are living sober, then you need to be taking care of yourself first. When you are not happy with the job that you are doing then you need to figure out why and make changes to the job or the area of the life that you currently are in. Finding out what your problems are before you do anything can make a big difference in your happiness. Remember that you will be living this change away from alcohol forever. It may be a long time before you stop drinking altogether, but the urge to drink is going to be gone forever. The trick is to think about this change and make sure that you enjoy the change that you are making. If you feel that you are struggling and unhappy in your life, then you need to find an appropriate and calm environment to live in. If you are in a depressing environment then you are not going to be able to remain sober for very long. Find a place where you feel at ease and enjoy the company of friends and family. Staying sober takes planning and hard work. You need to be able to take on the responsibilities of the life that you are living and make the lifestyle changes that you need to make.
