Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About: Who wrote the book living sober?
Who wrote the book living sober
Who wrote the book Living sober? This might be the most difficult question for anyone to answer. Living sober is a book written by Dr. David Beck of Boulder, Colorado. He is a certified alcohol and drug counselor. His research and study brought out the information about his experiences in recovery which includes over forty years of sobriety. Dr. Beck compiled all the information into a book and puts it all into an easy to read format. After all, everyone must know the truth. In this book you will learn: “How to Stay Drug Free without a Rehabilitation Plan”. But then you have to buy it so it might not be quite so easy to find. When I was talking to Dr. Beck about the book I asked him, “Who wrote the book Living sober?” “Well, I did,” he replied. “I’m the author of the book. There are people I talk to and try to explain the way I do things and some people are more than willing to tell me how to do things my way. But I did the writing.” So, we see the answer is no one actually wrote the book Living sober. Most of the contributors of the book were writers, but the person who wrote the book is Dr. David Beck. Yes, you heard that right. Of course, you can’t find Living sober on your library’s shelves because it isn’t published yet. So, if you’ve been to rehab centers you know that you need to take the advice of others. One thing you will find in the book is that Dr. David Beck was prescribed alcohol treatment at the BoulderCenter before he ever stopped abusing alcohol. After trying several treatment programs for alcoholics he finally made the decision to go to a treatment center where they actually did rehabilitation. Of course, this lead to lots of questions from the alcoholics that he met, but he really wanted to help them. I found Living sober very interesting and I thought that Dr. David Beck was very straightforward and honest in the book. I felt it was just a little bit long. Living sober includes more information about relapse prevention. We read that Dr. Beck will talk to the addicts about their personal problems before talking about getting help. It really was helpful for me to hear him ask them how they felt about their lives and how they were feeling about their lives before this happened. Another thing that Living sober had to offer us, was the information about getting help and not having to give up hope. It was comforting to know that there was someone who loved and cared for us, but wasn’t going to let us slide. Overall, I enjoyed reading Living sober. I feel that the contributors of the book all shared their stories with Dr. Beck. But it was Dr. Beck, who wrote the book.
